Standard Eyewear was founded with the goal of bringing high quality handmade designer eyewear and prescription lenses to a market that has been flooded with high-priced, low-value plastic branded frames.

Made from high quality surgical steel with our own unique screwless hinge design, all of our frames are designed, manufactured and assembled in Fukui, Japan and all orders shipped directly from the manufacturer.

We provide Japanese-quality lenses, manufactured by the famed Asahi Light Optical Co., also based in Fukui, Japan. We offer 1.60 index super thin lenses as standard, and 1.67 index ultra thin lenses, and 1.70 index hyper thin lenses as optional upgrades.
